Who is the InterNIC?
In Summary:
The InterNIC is a project that operates under the auspices of a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation. The NSF provided initial funding and continues to review the InterNIC project.
Under this agreement, Network Solutions, Inc. provides domain name registration
services and IP network number assignments, as well as information and education services.
AT&T provides directory and database services.
